Areas of Experience and Special Interest

I offer therapeutic services for issues addressing life's challenges and transitions, including anxiety, social anxiety, depression,  stress management, self-esteem, divorce/separation, body image, grief and loss, anger management, relationship challenges, and codependency. I have specialized training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and the use of other trauma-informed interventions.

In couples counseling, I focus on relationship repair, healing, and skills building for improved communication, emotional connection, and intimacy. In counseilng families, I follow a Structural approach to help families cope more effectively and gain new perspectives on issues.

Therapeutic Approach

My counseling style is warm and caring and down to earth. I provide a non-judgmental atmosphere where clients feel validated, encouraged, and empowered. I integrate a combination of counseling approaches to best meet the client's needs and to facilitate the client's therapy wishes. The therapy modalities I implement include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-centered. I also utilize mindfulness meditation, relaxation techniques, and visualization.
